Interconnected

This is 1/2 of my "Celebrity Portrait and Animal". In this image I chose Sri Anandamayi, pairing her with a Peacock. Peacocks take away negativity and replace it with goodness, and for their deeds they become the most beautiful. In this image there are a few different yet interconnected concepts at play: the Peacock symbolizing spirituality, purification, and incorruptability, the Om, and the subtle use of the Yin Yang, symbolized by Sri Anandamayi and the Peacock.

Sri Anandamayi Ma was (and is) a spiritual guru for many thousands of people in India and around the world. Words cannot describe how wonderful this woman was and is, nor can they encompass the impact she has had on so many lives. She was always "the same" no matter what happened, and did not let outside factors affect her and throw her off. As quoted from Anandamayi Ma, 

"My consciousness has never associated itself with this temporary body. Before I came on this earth 'I was the same'. As a little girl 'I was the same'. .......... Ever afterward, though the dance of creation change around me, in the hall of eternity 'I shall be the same'.

Family Men

This is 2/2 of my "Celebrity Portrait with Animal" project. For this one I chose Adam Sandler.

I paired Sandler with a Labrador Retriever puppy. Labs, like Sandler himself, are very devoted family dogs and love their families very much. They can also be quite silly and funny, just like Sandler. I feel this pairing is perfect, as the two reflect one another very well.

And yes, Sandler's head is supposed to be exaggerated the way it is.
